Scuba diving tour operator blue o two LAUNCH FORTH RED SEA LIVEABOARD VESSEL with GOLDEN TICKETS! Due to popular demand, Scuba diving tour operator blue o two is expanding its fleet of luxury Red Sea liveaboard vessels with the fourth addition; M/Y blue Voyager.

M/Y blue Voyager is a 37 metre, steel hulled vessel with the capacity to sleep 24 divers in spacious twin and double cabins. She features a separate dining area and sky lounge, much like M/Y blue Horizon and a large dive deck. In their usual style the team at blue o two are putting the vessel through a 10 week refurbishment plan, to make sure she is sparkling in time for her first safari at the beginning of April!

Company director Nathan Tyler said; “With the ever increasing demand for our liveaboards, the next logical step was to expand our fleet. We spent a long time looking for the right vessel and are very pleased with the result… M/Y blue Voyager is fantastic vessel with a lot of potential - she will not disappoint!”

To launch their fourth vessel, blue o two are running a ‘GOLDEN TICKETS’ competition – for the next four months, every 40th person to book onto M/Y blue Voyager for a trip in 2011, will win their holiday FREE OF CHARGE!

Bookings on-board M/Y blue Voyager are already being taken and so for your chance to win a GOLDEN TICKET, contact blue o two and get booking! For information on prices and itineraries, as well as competition details visit: www.blueotwo.com

Since 2001, blue o two has operated and managed a fleet of luxury Red Sea liveaboards. Dubbed the ‘next generation of liveaboard boats’, the blue o two fleet offers divers an outstanding level of service with a focus on luxury, safety and affordability.

blue o two is the first diving tour operator to provide a British operated and managed Red Sea liveaboard fleet. With offices in both the UK, Denmark and Egypt, blue o two makes quality of service paramount, from initial enquiry to ground operations. Providing accessible channels for communication and feedback is essential to customer satisfaction and care; blue o two offers a fully accountable service from start to finish.

blue o two also offer liveaboard and resort holidays in Sudan, Maldives and Malta.

Striving to make every possible aspect of business operations ethical and sustainable is high on the blue o two agenda. Recently winning the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Award for ‘Best in a Marine Environment’ is testament to this aim.

Try some ‘silver cloud diving’
Every cloud, they say, has a silver lining. And now is the time to holiday in the Red Sea and grab a taste of what diving was like before the bucket and spade brigade arrived.
The waters are warm, clear and calm and the diving is uncrowded, relaxed and surreally stunning. Emperor Divers reports that guests have continued to take their diving holidays as their Red Sea resorts are far removed from the big cities and the lure of peaceful dive sites is proving a strong one.
Easy flight times, amazing diving, quieter reefs and dive sites all add up to a holiday that surpasses the already high standards of diving the Red Sea.
Emperor Divers has a bespoke Resort Package, which takes care of all divers’ needs including airport meet and greet, transfers, hotel and diving; all starting from just £160.
Choose from 5, 7, 10 & 14 nights plus a choice of day dive packages giving you amazing value for money. You can even include the PADI Open Water course.
Emperor’s Facebook page bears out the resilience of the diving fraternity with Debbie Kidd being one of many who recently posted: ‘Thanks to Sharm team Pete and Jared, and the crew of the Sharouk, for a wonderful week, brilliant guides and crew who always make the holiday special, well done Emperor (again), hope to be back again soon.’

CDWS Sets Up New Liveaboard Committee

CDWS has set up a committee to specifically look at the development of Liveaboard Operations in the Red Sea. The committee is currently assessing the needs, challenges and business solutions geared towards making safari operations world leading. We already have everything we need to accomplish this including world class dive locations, short flight times from Europe and a Liveaboard Fleet that can compete with any other destination. The Committee wants to address issues concerning like operations, sales, marketing, crew and impact on the marine environment.

The committee is now looking for input and feedback from Dive Professionals who work in this particular part of the industry. So if you have ideas and recommendations that would help create a plan of action to improve the working environment in this sector feel free to contact CDWS and Ayman Mousa who is behind the wheel of the new Committee is.

Emperor Divers Moves

Aziab recently reported that Easy Divers Hurghada is moving out from Hilton Plaza and now we can tell you who’s moving in and taking their place. It’s Emperor that has chosen to leave their location in the harbour next to Grand Azur Horizon and with them likely Oxygen and Dugong and Tekstreme are coming along. This is a little bit funny since Oxygen used to be working with Easy Divers a few years back when the operation was had just moved in to Hilton Plaza. The move is supposed to finished September 23rd according to aziab’s sources.

Easy Divers Moves

Legendary Hurghada Dive Centre Easy Divers  has once again decided to in September up its roots and move to new facilities. This time it’s Sand Beach they are moving to, from Hilton Plaza where they  moved in just a few year ago. Easy Diver started in Empire Beach Resort and had at one point outlets also in Grand Azur Horizon, Sunrise Hurghada Holiday Hotel and the franchise in El Gouna. In the past they have also had a dive Centre in Safaga and for a very short time tried out the in Sharm El Sheikh. Sun Beach is located next door to Empire Beach Hotel where the Easy Divers history began, then under the Nigel Jarvis.

Colona Divers opens new dive centre in the south this October.

New for winter 2010 Colona Divers can offer some of the best diving and snorkelling in the Red Sea from our Eco Lodge, Deep South Diving Camp and Dive Centre in Port Ghaleb area. We invite you to come and join us and share the true wonders of the underwater world.

WHERE WE ARE
Colona Divers, Deep South Diving Camp is situated Umm Tandoba Bay; only 14 km away from the main city of Marsa Alam and only 1 hour drive from the international airport. This tranquil area is an ideal alternative to the crowded European style resorts the beach is deserted by comparison. You will feel like you’re on your own desert island after a long solitary stroll along the miles of beach. The camp offers uniquely designed “African huts” and “chalets”; good food and cheer are available every day. The natural surroundings and spectacular views make this ideal place to relax and unwind. Colona Divers, Port Ghaleb is just 20 minutes from the international airport in the newly built modern marina.

MARSA ALAM + PORT GHALIB
Marsa Alam was originally (and still is) a Bedouin fishing village. It is a small town on the southern Egyptian coast, complete with Bazaar area and local foods. Time seems to have stood still in this area and local traditions still apply. Alcohol may be served in a few places but do not expect Hard Rock Cafe style bar in the village!.

Port Ghalib is now a modern and stylish marina; top class restaurants and bars are dotted along the seafront. The night clubs stay open late and multi million dollar yachts float nearby. International chains have opened in the harbour so don't be surprised to see a famous burger maker near you....

OUR SERVICES
Colona can offer a wide range of services to make your trip everything you could wish for; Colona is an ideal choice for someone who prefers a personalized service. Our staff think of Colona as our very own extended family, you will often find us on the boats coming out just for fun on our days off taking a ‘busmans holiday’. What better place to be?

We arrange diving courses from beginner right through to professional level. All courses are taught using the PADI system; which has proved itself safe and effective by becoming the most popular method of teaching scuba diving in world.

Diving and snorkelling can be made from both locations: Deep South will have daily diving trips with our large dive boats Elphinstone, Shab Samadai and Shab Sharm. Also short trips on our outboard boat to local reefs. The house reef is also a beautiful dive where you can take your time and enjoy the small stuff.

marsaalam@colona.com or check out Colona’s website http://www.colona.com
