When
you book your dive holiday first make sure that the dive operator you are
choosing is a affiliated with the Search and Rescue operation. This for two reasons: You want
to be insured and you want the dive operator you're diving with to support the
local Rescue Operation.

SAR has been
operating in Hurghada for about 3 years, now after changing the name from Search and Rescue
our good or SAR to Red Sea HRG MMC Lifeboat MEDEVAC, most people still say SAR or Search
and Rescue. SAR or Lifeboat Medevac.
SAR is
based in "New Harbour", opposite of the Naval Hyperbaric Hospital. Any Dive
Guide worth the name should have the number saved in the mobile phone, but if
you plan a diving holiday in Hurghada, why not save it on yours as well...
