The ongoing battle to be the deepest diver on earth continues this March as Wael Omar from Egypt will be aiming to hit a depth of 400m.
Following the Guinness World Record dive undertaken by Ahmed Gabr in September 2014 of 332.4m, Wael will be aiming to regain the title, having previously held the record at 330m.

Following a dive medical, the dive will have a run time of approximately 28 hours and is scheduled for March 30th in Sharm El Sheikh, Red Sea, Egypt.
Another Egyptian diver, Walaa Hafez, set the Guinness World Record for the longest open saltwater scuba dive for 51 hours and 20 minutes off Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Hurghada in June 2015.
